COB chips typically have 9 or more diodes and only one circuit and two contacts, regardless of the diode count. This design is the reason for the panel or tube appearance of a COB LED light; on the other hand, an SMD light appears as a series of smaller, dot-like lights. Some COB chips are also known for producing high lumens (brightness) with less power, a wide viewing angle, and other excellent related characteristics that make COBs widely used.

COB technology offers higher levels of light dispersion, eliminating those dark-then-bright patches created by narrow-beam fixtures. Additionally, COBs have greater reliability and a longer lifespan than SMD LEDs. They come with 3M adhesive tape on the back, high color efficiency, and uniform illumination. A COB LED achieves higher brightness with a more uniform appearance than its predecessors.

New Technology: The yellow layer in the middle of the COB chip is a single phosphor layer, allowing for complete control of color temperatures and CRI. This type of LED technology allows the chip density of our strip to reach up to 840 chips per meter, promising much greater flexibility and improved brightness compared to other LED technologies.

Adhesive Backing and Flexibility: With a 3M self-adhesive "Peel-and-Stick" tape, the flexibility of the strip allows you to install your COB strip on any smooth, clean surface. Refer to the manual or data sheet for connection diagrams; if unsure, professional installation is recommended.

Adjustable: The light strip is manufactured to be cut to any desired length up to 5 m (16 ft) without losing functionality. It can be cut into 24-LED segments (every 4.54 cm) at the marked sections and assembled with simple soldering, or you can use our connectors for easy installation.

Tips before buying:

 When comparing COB strip lighting between companies, if both competing strips use the same chips, look at the number of LEDs on the strip and look at the lumen output (luminous flux) to determine the brightness.

 When looking for bright COB strip lights, be sure to compare apples to apples; not all COB strips are created equal and with the same specifications.

■ This product should ONLY be used with a 24V DC power supply. The supply voltage must match the voltage required by the LED strip. Anything lower than this will result in a lower intensity of the strip. Anything higher than this may burn out the LED strip.
